Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content for broadcast, digital platforms, and internal communications.
  • Operate professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices effectively.
  • Proficiently edit raw footage into polished, compelling video content using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, and production outlines in collaboration with the creative team.
  • Incorporate motion graphics, special effects, and sound design to enhance video projects.
  • Manage and organize media assets, ensuring proper archiving and accessibility.
  • Conduct interviews and capture B-roll footage as required for various productions.
  • Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest videography and editing technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, journalists, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Videographer and Video Editor, demonstrating a strong portfolio of work.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and excellent knowledge of After Effects.
  • Solid understanding of video production principles, including lighting, composition, and sound design.
  • Familiarity with various camera equipment (DSLR, Mirrorless, Cinema Cameras) and associated accessories.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong storytelling ability and creative vision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with color grading and audio mixing software.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience working in a broadcast or media environment.
  • Ability to operate drones for aerial videography (with valid certification).
  • Fluency in Swahili is an added advantage.
