Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Hotel Reservations Specialist to join a prestigious hospitality client in Pemba, Cabo Delgado Province. As a Hotel Reservations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for many of our potential guests, responsible for managing all aspects of the reservation process with professionalism and charm. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels promptly and professionally.
- Process new reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately using the hotel's property management system (PMS) and online travel agency (OTA) extranets.
- Provide detailed information about hotel facilities, services, room types, rates, and local attractions in Pemba.
- Upsell additional services, packages, and higher room categories to maximize revenue and enhance guest experience.
- Resolve guest complaints or booking discrepancies efficiently and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure data integrity within the reservation system.
- Collaborate with the Front Office and Sales teams to optimize room occupancy and revenue strategies.
- Process advance payments and ensure adherence to booking policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports as required.
- Stay updated on hotel promotions, seasonal offers, and local events to inform guests effectively.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel reservations or front office role.
- Proficiency in hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, Mews).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with online travel agencies (OTAs) and channel managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of an additional local language (e.g., Makhuwa, Emakhuwa) is a plus.
