Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level window cleaning using various access methods (e.g., abseiling, cradle systems, water-fed poles, cherry pickers).
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific procedures, including meticulous equipment checks.
- Inspect windows and frames for damage or defects, reporting any issues promptly to the supervisor or client representatives.
- Maintain and care for all cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in safe, clean, and optimal working order at all times.
- Work efficiently and effectively, meeting project deadlines and consistently exceeding quality standards.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, site managers, team members, and the public.
- Complete daily work reports, safety checklists, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Undertake ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with best practices, new techniques, and evolving safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a cohesive team or independently, depending on the requirements of each specific job or project.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 18 months) in high-rise window cleaning methods (e.g., rope access, BMU operation, MEWP).
- Thorough understanding and practical application of relevant health and safety legislation (e.g., Working at Height Regulations).
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and confidently at significant heights, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering pristine, high-quality results.
- Excellent physical fitness, stamina, and manual dexterity required for demanding work conditions.
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex instructions and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 certification for rope access operations.
- IPAF or PASMA certification for operating powered access equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, scissor lifts).
- Current First Aid at Work certification.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Previous experience with advanced water-fed pole systems for ground-level and intermediate height cleaning.
- Knowledge of different glass types, window treatments, and appropriate specialized cleaning agents.
