Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead Nanny or parents with daily childcare duties, including feeding, changing, and naptime routines for infants/toddlers.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational, creative, and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Help maintain a clean and organized environment for children, including tidying play areas, children's rooms, and common spaces.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for children, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with children's laundry and organization of their belongings.
- Support children with homework or educational tasks as needed.
- Run occasional errands related to children's needs (e.g., grocery shopping for specific items, picking up supplies).
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents and the lead Nanny regarding children's progress, needs, and daily activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, implementing safety protocols as necessary.
- Provide reliable backup childcare during periods when the lead Nanny or parents are unavailable, if agreed upon.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere within the family home.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 6 months) in a childcare setting, such as a daycare, preschool, or previous nanny/babysitting role.
- Genuine love for children and a natural ability to connect with them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules or needs.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire).
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
