Key Responsibilities
- Curate, mix, and perform live music sets tailored to specific events, themes, and audience demographics.
- Seamlessly blend tracks and execute creative transitions using professional DJ software and hardware (e.g., CDJs, turntables, controllers, Serato, Traktor).
- Engage with the audience, responding to their energy and requests while maintaining the desired flow and vibe of the event.
- Manage and maintain audio equipment, ensuring optimal sound quality and troubleshooting any technical issues swiftly.
- Collaborate effectively with event managers, venue staff, and other performers to coordinate schedules and logistical requirements.
- Stay current with music trends, emerging artists, and new technologies in the DJ and entertainment industry.
- Arrive punctually for all gigs, set up and break down equipment efficiently, and adhere to event timelines.
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times, representing Career.zycto with excellence.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional DJ experience in live settings.
- Extensive and diverse music knowledge across multiple genres (e.g., Pop, EDM, R&B, Hip-Hop, Commercial, Mauritian local genres).
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard DJ equipment and software (e.g., Pioneer CDJs, Technics turntables, Serato DJ Pro, Native Instruments Traktor).
- Exceptional mixing, beatmatching, and scratching skills.
- Proven ability to read and energize a crowd, adapting sets on the fly to maintain engagement.
- Strong technical aptitude for audio equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in music production, audio engineering, or DJ techniques.
- Experience with sound and lighting systems management.
