Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations into harassment, discrimination, performance, and conduct.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and best practices related to employee relations.
- Mediate disputes and facilitate constructive conversations to resolve workplace conflicts effectively and equitably.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies across diverse geographic locations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on employee relations topics, such as conflict resolution, performance management, and respectful workplace conduct.
- Analyze employee relations trends and metrics to identify systemic issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Legal Counsel on sensitive employee relations matters.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all employee relations cases and actions taken.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and programs to foster a positive work environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations or a specialized HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., ESA, Human Rights Code in Canada, and other relevant jurisdictions).
- Proven ability to conduct thorough, objective, and timely investigations.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and mediation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or CHRP/CHRL designation (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Familiarity with global labor laws and international employee relations practices.
- Experience with HR analytics and reporting on ER trends.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
