Key Responsibilities
- Execute the physical setup and breakdown of event venues according to detailed floor plans and event specifications.
- Safely and efficiently transport, arrange, and dismantle event equipment, including staging, lighting, sound systems, tables, chairs, decorations, and signage.
- Coordinate with event managers and other crew members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to event schedules.
- Conduct pre-event inspections of equipment and venue to identify and resolve any potential issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout the setup and breakdown processes.
- Operate various tools and equipment safely, including dollies, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (with proper certification).
- Assist with inventory management of event supplies and equipment.
- Provide exceptional on-site support, responding to immediate needs and adjustments during event periods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret event floor plans and setup diagrams
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in operating basic tools and event equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, logistics, or a similar physically demanding role
- Experience with AV equipment setup and troubleshooting
- Certification in forklift operation or other relevant equipment
- Knowledge of local Petersburg venues and vendor networks
- CPR and First Aid certification
