Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and format a wide range of legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and reports, ensuring absolute accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
- Manage and maintain both physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documentation is meticulously organized, updated, and easily retrievable.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, court dates, and client consultations, managing diaries effectively for legal professionals.
- Liaise professionally with clients, court staff, barristers, and external agencies, handling inquiries and relaying information accurately.
- Conduct preliminary legal research using various databases and resources to support ongoing cases and provide background information.
- Prepare comprehensive court bundles, trial documents, and hearing packs with precision and within strict deadlines.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, manage client billing support, and handle general administrative tasks as required.
- Assist in the preparation for hearings, trials, and client meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an impeccable grasp of grammar and spelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with legal practice management software.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
