Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain blast hole drilling rigs and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
- Interpret drilling plans, geological data, and site specifications to determine precise drilling locations and depths.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of drilling machinery.
- Monitor drilling progress, adjusting techniques and parameters as required by ground conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and local legislation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unusual ground conditions immediately.
- Maintain accurate drilling records, including footage, consumables used, and any operational issues.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other team members to optimize drilling patterns and blasting outcomes.
- Ensure the worksite is clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Blast Hole Driller or similar heavy equipment operator (minimum 2 years).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Proficiency in interpreting geological maps, plans, and technical drawings.
- Excellent understanding of drilling techniques, ground conditions, and rock mechanics.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging outdoor conditions, including varying weather and terrains.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent, C/CE highly preferred).
- Physical fitness to perform duties requiring manual labor and sustained concentration.

- Knowledge of German safety regulations (e.g., DGUV).
- First Aid certification.
