Career.zycto is actively recruiting for a highly skilled and dedicated Boilermaker to join our esteemed client’s team in Münster. This is a crucial full-time position for an individual passionate about precision engineering and robust construction within industrial settings. As a Boilermaker, you will be instrumental in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other heavy plate structures. Your work will directly contribute to critical infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine dimensions and specifications for boiler components.
  • Lay out, cut, shape, and form heavy metal plates, structural steel, and pipes using various tools and machinery.
  • Assemble and fit boiler sections, tanks, and pressure vessels, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity.
  • Perform various welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW) on different materials, primarily carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels.
  • Inspect finished products and structures for quality control, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of existing boiler systems, including identifying faults, replacing parts, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a certified Boilermaker or equivalent heavy fabricator.
  • Proficiency in various welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, forming, and fitting.
  • Solid understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks in various working conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid welding certifications (e.g., DIN EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung) in a relevant field such as Kessel- und Behälterbau, Anlagenmechaniker, or similar.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • Familiarity with German industrial standards and regulations (e.g., TRBS, AD 2000-Merkblätter).
  • Experience working in power generation, chemical, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Crane operator certification.
