Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-rise window cleaning using a diverse range of access equipment, including cradles, abseiling (rope access techniques), water-fed poles, and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) as dictated by site requirements.
- Adhere meticulously to all prevailing health and safety regulations, company-specific policies, and detailed site-specific safety plans without exception.
- Conduct thorough pre-use and post-use inspections of all equipment, promptly reporting any identified defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
- Maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness, consistently achieving streak-free and spotless results on all glass and window surfaces.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with team members, ensuring the efficient completion of scheduled tasks and providing mutual support when necessary.
- Communicate articulately and professionally with site managers, clients, and the general public as required, always maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor.
- Manage time and resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and strict operational schedules.
- Ensure the correct storage, maintenance, and safe handling of all cleaning chemicals, tools, and specialised equipment in accordance with guidelines.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable experience (minimum 2 years) specifically in high-rise window cleaning operations.
- In-depth knowledge and practical proficiency in various high-access cleaning methodologies (e.g., rope access, cradle systems, MEWPs).
- Exceptional understanding and unwavering commitment to health and safety protocols pertinent to working at height.
- Excellent physical fitness and absolute comfort working confidently at significant elevations.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering superior quality workmanship.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Highly reliable, consistently punctual, and possessing an exemplary work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA Level 1 (or higher) Rope Access Technician certification is highly advantageous.
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) PAL Card for operating MEWPs.
- PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification.
- A valid, clean UK Driving License.
- Current First Aid at Work qualification.
