Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments across various departments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
  • Design and develop engaging, relevant, and effective training modules, materials, and resources (e.g., presentations, workshops, e-learning content).
  • Facilitate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and induction programs for new and existing employees.
  • Coordinate with external training providers and subject matter experts when specialized training is required.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting on outcomes and recommending improvements.
  • Manage the training calendar, logistics, and budget efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and employee development plans.
  • Research and implement innovative training methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of career progression frameworks and succession planning initiatives.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and actively champion a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in designing, developing, and delivering corporate training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and effective project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant training software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken, is essential for effective communication within the company.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Training & Assessment (e.g., ACTA, CPTD, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and content creation.
  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Prior experience in the agribusiness, energy, manufacturing, or property development sectors.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
