Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Executive to join our growing team in Horfield, Bristol. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying supplier needs and conducting market analysis to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing a portfolio of critical contracts, and driving continuous improvement in our purchasing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract finalization.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Manage a portfolio of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and service level agreements.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential partners and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Negotiate favourable terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize value for money.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide expert advice.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation within the procurement function.
- Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to ethical standards and company compliance policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport.
