Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and compassionate NDIS Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Friedrichshain, Berlin. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) within an international context, primarily supporting Australian NDIS participants, potentially including those residing abroad or planning to return. As an NDIS Coordinator, you will be instrumental in guiding participants and their families through the complexities of the NDIS, ensuring they receive tailored support that aligns with their individual goals and funded plans. You will act as a central point of contact, coordinating a wide array of services and supports, from therapeutic interventions to community access and employment pathways. This role demands exceptional organisational skills, a deep understanding of NDIS guidelines, and an unwavering commitment to person-centred care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive NDIS Plan Management and Support Coordination services to participants, ensuring adherence to NDIS guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualised support plans in collaboration with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Source, engage, and manage a network of service providers, ensuring high-quality, culturally appropriate, and cost-effective services.
- Assist participants in understanding their NDIS plans, budgets, and rights, advocating on their behalf when necessary.
- Facilitate regular reviews of NDIS plans and support outcomes, making necessary adjustments to meet evolving participant needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and NDIS reporting requirements.
- Liaise effectively with NDIS agencies, government bodies, and community organisations in both Australian and European contexts.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as required, ensuring participant safety and well-being.
- Continuously update knowledge on NDIS policy changes, service developments, and best practices in disability support.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in NDIS Support Coordination or a similar disability services role.
- Demonstrable understanding of the NDIS framework, legislation, and operational guidelines.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement person-centred support plans.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple caseloads.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and report writing.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Disability Studies, Allied Health, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those with complex needs.
- Knowledge of the German social welfare system or experience in an international support context.
- Additional language skills (e.g., German) are a plus.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
