Job Description

This role demands a strategic thinker and an influential leader who can champion a culture of continuous learning and development. As our Learning & Development Manager, Flexible Hours, you will be pivotal in shaping the growth trajectory of our entire workforce. Your primary mission will be to design, implement, and evaluate innovative learning programs that enhance employee skills, foster career progression, and align with our strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across all departments. Utilizing your expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design, you will develop engaging and effective training modules, workshops, e-learning courses, and blended learning solutions. A key aspect of this role involves collaborating closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure L&D initiatives are integrated seamlessly into our overall talent management strategy. You will also be tasked with selecting and managing external training vendors, ensuring we partner with providers who offer exceptional value and relevant content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development priorities across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative and engaging learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules.
  • Manage the full learning cycle, from instructional design and content creation to delivery and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to align L&D initiatives with business goals.
  • Implement and manage a robust learning management system (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through metrics, feedback, and ROI analysis.
  • Research and recommend external training solutions and manage vendor relationships.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and coach employees and leaders on development opportunities.
  • Stay current with L&D best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and evaluate training effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications
