You will serve as the primary point of contact and go-to expert for all data protection matters, overseeing data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), managing data subject access requests (DSARs), developing and conducting privacy training programs, coordinating data breach responses, and effectively liaising with supervisory authorities. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and expert for all data privacy matters within the organization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and provide guidance on privacy-by-design principles for new projects and initiatives.
- Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs), privacy complaints, and other related inquiries.
- Oversee the investigation and management of data breaches, ensuring timely reporting to relevant authorities and affected individuals.
- Deliver regular data protection training and awareness programs to employees across all departments.
- Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal policies, conducting regular audits and reviews.
- Liaise with supervisory authorities on all data protection matters and act as the organization's representative where required.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable expertise in GDPR and other international data protection regulations (e.g., CCPA, LGPD).
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing data privacy frameworks.
- Strong understanding of information security principles and data protection best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex legal and technical information and translate it into practical advice.
- Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO).
