Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods and packages to designated locations within Garden Grove and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Verify order accuracy and secure items appropriately for transport to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Manage delivery schedules, optimize routes for efficiency, and meet specified delivery timelines.
- Handle payments, obtain signatures, and provide receipts as required.
- Conduct routine checks on the delivery vehicle/bike to ensure it is in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service regarding delivery status or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle/bike.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and logs.
Required Skills
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C or M, depending on vehicle)
- Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
- Ability to navigate using GPS and maps efficiently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Physical stamina to lift and carry packages (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from work if company vehicle not provided
- Proficiency with smartphone applications for route management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or related transportation role
- Familiarity with the Garden Grove, California area and local routes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
