Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food items, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and daily menus.
- Assist cooks and chefs with various food preparation tasks, ensuring efficiency and timely meal service.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of ingredients, notifying supervisors of shortages or needs.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations and standards (HACCP principles).
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, utensils, and storage areas regularly.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., slicers, mixers, blenders).
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and organization of stock.
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed to maintain a clean and operational kitchen.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Respond to special dietary requests and modifications as instructed.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
