Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage our warehouse operations and optimize delivery processes in Balaclava, St. Elizabeth. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from storage to final destination, maintaining high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin connecting our warehousing activities with our robust delivery network, playing a critical role in inventory accuracy, timely dispatches, and route optimization. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching, while also meticulously planning and executing delivery schedules. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong understanding of supply chain principles. You will troubleshoot operational issues, implement best practices, and collaborate closely with internal teams to meet challenging deadlines and maintain service level agreements. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing goods.
  • Plan and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
  • Develop and optimize delivery routes, schedules, and methods to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse and delivery processes.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain operations
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and systems
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
