As a Massage Therapist, you will be instrumental in delivering a range of therapeutic and relaxation treatments, tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each client. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage treatments, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Aromatherapy massages, according to client needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to identify specific concerns, medical history, and desired outcomes.
- Develop and recommend personalised treatment plans, educating clients on the benefits of different therapies.
- Ensure the treatment rooms are meticulously clean, organised, and set up prior to each appointment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatment progress and recommendations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming, relaxing, and professional environment.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and assist with client bookings where necessary.
- Promote and retail spa products relevant to client needs, enhancing their home care routine.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge of new techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Massage Therapy or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience as a Massage Therapist in a spa or clinical setting.
- Proficiency in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Hot Stone massage techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanour.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized massage therapies (e.g., Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage).
- Experience with spa software and booking systems.
- Knowledge of retail sales and product recommendations.
- First Aid certification.
