This pivotal role calls for a dedicated and meticulous Logistics Coordinator to manage the seamless flow of goods through our client’s warehouse and distribution channels. You will be the central point ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and optimized delivery routes within Bryan’s Bay and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and meticulous inventory control.
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing deliveries, optimizing routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely arrival.
  • Utilize advanced inventory management systems to accurately track stock levels, process orders, and manage returns.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, manifests, and customs forms, ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor carrier performance and resolve any shipping or delivery discrepancies and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Implement and maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales, procurement, and transportation teams to ensure smooth and synchronized workflow.
  • Generate regular, comprehensive reports on logistics performance, inventory accuracy, and key delivery metrics.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, propose innovative solutions, and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records to ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor, or a similar professional role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho Inventory) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
  • Strong understanding of warehousing principles, supply chain management, and distribution processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Project Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, PMP).
  • Familiarity with local Jamaican transportation regulations and customs procedures.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
