Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated team in New Castle, Kingston. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and timely flow of goods from our warehouse to various delivery points, playing a critical part in our supply chain success. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, managing inventory, optimizing routes, and collaborating closely with warehouse staff and delivery teams. We are looking for someone who can not only manage daily operations but also identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, leveraging logistics software and analytical tools.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor and report on key logistics performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company policies within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
  • Assist in the negotiation of freight rates and service agreements with carriers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, seeking ways to enhance logistics processes and reduce operational costs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, if required for occasional site visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS).
  • Experience with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with the local geographical area of New Castle and wider Kingston for optimized routing.
