Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to various destinations across Mauritius.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adapting to traffic and road conditions.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring secure packaging and safe handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Assist with warehouse tasks or other duties as required, contributing to overall team efficiency.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
Required Skills
- Valid heavy/light vehicle driving license (Mauritius Class 3 and/or 4)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Excellent knowledge of Mauritius's road network and traffic regulations
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, loading, and unloading
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Logistics or Transportation Management
- Experience with GPS and route optimization software
- First aid certification
