Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness, considering traffic, weather, and customer requirements.
- Oversee warehouse activities, ensuring accurate inventory levels, proper storage, and efficient picking and packing processes.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any issues or delays proactively.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs forms.
- Implement and maintain logistics software and systems to enhance operational visibility and control.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, specifically in warehouse and delivery management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Valid Jamaican driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred, not mandatory).
