Job Description
Are you a budding photography enthusiast with an eye for detail and a passion for capturing beautiful moments? Uroa Bay Beach Resort is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-Time Photography Production Assistant to join our creative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth execution of our photography projects, from setting up equipment for photoshoots to assisting with on-site productions across our beautiful property and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Assist photographers with equipment setup, breakdown, and transport for various photoshoots (e.g., resort facilities, guest activities, events, lifestyle shots).
- Ensure all photography gear (cameras, lenses, lighting, props, tripods) is well-maintained, organized, and ready for use.
- Act as a second pair of hands during shoots, holding reflectors, managing cables, and assisting with styling and posing as needed.
- Help with basic photo editing tasks such as culling, color correction, and organizing digital assets.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of photoshoots with various resort departments and external parties.
- Maintain an organized inventory of photography equipment and report any damages or maintenance needs.
- Assist in brainstorming creative concepts for visual content and contribute ideas for improving visual storytelling.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during photoshoots, particularly in dynamic outdoor environments.
- Perform other administrative and production support tasks as assigned to ensure efficient photography operations.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photography principles and camera equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry photography equipment (up to 15 kg).
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree/diploma in Photography, Film Production, Marketing, or a related creative field.
- Experience with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Previous experience assisting on photoshoots or video productions.
- Familiarity with social media content creation and visual trends.
- A portfolio showcasing personal photography work (even amateur work is welcome).
