Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse operations and delivery management to join our team in Falmouth, Trelawny. This professional role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to various destinations, maintaining our commitment to timely and accurate deliveries. You will be at the heart of our operational efficiency, managing the entire lifecycle of our inventory, from receiving and storage to dispatch and final delivery.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, coordinating with internal teams, and liaising with external partners to optimize our logistics processes. Your expertise will ensure that inventory levels are accurately maintained, shipments are prepared correctly, and transportation routes are planned effectively. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods through the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes, schedules, and transportation methods to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
- Manage inventory control, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including shipping labels, invoices, and customs forms.
- Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Utilize logistics software and systems for tracking, planning, and reporting.
- Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse and delivery staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proactively identify potential logistical challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, specifically in warehouse and delivery operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and warehouse best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Familiarity with Jamaican transportation regulations and customs procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPL, CSCP).
