Job Description

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights? Do you thrive in a remote work environment where your contributions directly impact business strategy? FDM Group, a global leader in professional services, is seeking a talented and self-motivated Home-Based Application Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in London. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting vast datasets generated by our internal applications and client-facing platforms. Your expertise will not only uncover critical trends and patterns but also drive informed decision-making across various departments, from operations and finance to marketing and product development. This position offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously while being fully integrated into a collaborative team environment, requiring excellent self-management and communication skills to thrive in a distributed setup.

As a Home-Based Application Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of understanding how our applications perform, how users interact with them, and what opportunities exist for optimization and enhancement. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust data models that serve as the foundation for our analytical efforts, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. A key part of your role will involve creating compelling dashboards and reports using industry-leading visualization tools, effectively communicating complex data stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’ll be expected to dive deep into application logs, user behaviour data, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and new strategic opportunities. This could involve everything from optimizing database queries to identifying critical user journeys or predicting future application demands based on historical data.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing principles, advanced SQL skills for querying intricate databases, and proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis will be highly regarded. If you are passionate about data, eager to solve complex problems, and ready to make a significant impact from the comfort of your home office, we encourage you to apply. You will contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency, inform product development roadmaps, and ultimately contribute to FDM Group’s strategic growth and client success, fostering a culture of data-driven excellence.
