Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanics with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of vehicles and machinery, including agricultural equipment like tractors and processing units.
  • Perform general cleaning and organization of the workshop area, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment at all times.
  • Fetch and organize tools, parts, and supplies efficiently as required by mechanics, ensuring quick access and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and battery maintenance under direct supervision.
  • Support in accurately documenting completed work, parts used, and any identified mechanical issues or necessary follow-ups.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, guidelines, and environmental regulations within the workshop to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Assist with vehicle preparation, movement, and general logistics within the workshop and yard areas.
  • Actively engage in learning and applying new mechanical skills and techniques through continuous on-the-job training and mentorship.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles and vehicle components.
