Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated, safety-conscious, and experienced Waste Management Driver for immediate hire in Downtown, Cedar Falls. As a Waste Management Driver, you will be entrusted with the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty collection vehicles, primarily performing residential and/or commercial waste and recycling collection services across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to collect waste and recycling materials on assigned routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of collection vehicles, including hydraulic lift mechanisms.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and local traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and the public.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and equipment.
