Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via vehicle if required, to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, reporting any irregularities or suspicious activities immediately.
  • Inspect premises for signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire, or other hazards.
  • Respond to alarms and emergency situations according to established company protocols.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed and accurate reports.
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist clients, employees, and visitors with inquiries and provide directions as needed, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members and local authorities when necessary to resolve security issues.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Portuguese (and ideally English)
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy for report writing and communication
  • Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including walking and standing for extended periods
  • Clean criminal record and background check
  • Valid Mozambican identification and work authorization
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (10th or 12th grade completion)
  • Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement (even if unofficial)
  • Knowledge of local area (Chipangara, Beira) and community dynamics
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid Mozambican driving license (Category B or higher)
