Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via vehicle if required, to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, reporting any irregularities or suspicious activities immediately.
- Inspect premises for signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire, or other hazards.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations according to established company protocols.
- Document all incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed and accurate reports.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment.
- Assist clients, employees, and visitors with inquiries and provide directions as needed, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Collaborate with team members and local authorities when necessary to resolve security issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Portuguese (and ideally English)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and communication
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including walking and standing for extended periods
- Clean criminal record and background check
- Valid Mozambican identification and work authorization
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (10th or 12th grade completion)
- Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement (even if unofficial)
- Knowledge of local area (Chipangara, Beira) and community dynamics
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Valid Mozambican driving license (Category B or higher)
