Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources to support ongoing cases.
- Prepare, organize, and manage all relevant documents for court filings, hearings, and trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Assist in witness preparation, including scheduling interviews, organizing testimony materials, and preparing deposition summaries.
- Manage and maintain complex physical and electronic case files, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and confidential.
- Liaise effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and external parties to gather information, schedule appointments, and coordinate logistics.
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery responses to highlight key information for legal teams.
- Monitor and ensure strict adherence to court deadlines, procedural rules, and statutory requirements.
- Support attorneys during all phases of trial preparation, including creating exhibits, demonstrative aids, and trial binders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Paralegal, specifically with a focus on litigation support or court preparation.
- Exceptional legal research and writing abilities, demonstrating a strong command of legal principles and terminology.
- Proficiency in utilizing legal databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, Practical Law) and all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex case files efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of legal documentation and information management.
