Key Responsibilities
- Proactively scout and identify emerging musical artists across various genres through live performances, online platforms, industry events, and direct submissions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, authentic relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other key industry professionals.
- Evaluate demo submissions, artist portfolios, and live performances to assess artistic merit, commercial viability, and unique selling propositions.
- Stay abreast of current music trends, cultural shifts, and competitor activities to identify gaps and opportunities in the market.
- Prepare detailed reports and compelling presentations on potential signings, including market analysis, artist background, and projected development paths.
- Attend industry showcases, festivals, and networking events regularly, both locally in Cologne and internationally, as required.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams on artist development strategies, marketing plans, and potential recording projects.
- Assist in preliminary discussions regarding artist contracts, intellectual property rights, and negotiation processes.
