Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to define the musical vision and aesthetic for various film, TV, and digital projects.
- Research, curate, and present a diverse range of musical options, including existing licensed tracks, production music, and original compositions.
- Manage all aspects of music licensing and clearance, including negotiating terms, fees, and usage rights with labels, publishers, and artists.
- Oversee music budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high creative standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, agents, music libraries, publishers, and record labels.
- Provide creative input and guidance during pre-production, production, and post-production phases, including spotting sessions and final mixes.
- Stay current with music industry trends, new artists, and evolving licensing practices to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Music Supervisor, Music Coordinator, or in a similar music licensing role within film/TV.
- Deep, encyclopedic knowledge of music across diverse genres, eras, and cultural contexts.
- Demonstrated expertise in music licensing, clearance, and rights management.
- Strong negotiation and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
