Key Responsibilities
- Curate and perform diverse music sets tailored to specific event themes, audiences, and atmospheres.
- Operate and troubleshoot professional DJ equipment, sound systems, and associated software with precision.
- Engage actively with the audience, responding to their energy and fostering an exciting, inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with event organizers, promoters, and technical teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Maintain an extensive and current music library across various genres, staying ahead of musical trends.
- Manage event timelines and schedules, ensuring timely setup, sound checks, and performance.
- Provide basic technical support for sound and lighting in coordination with on-site staff.
- Assist in the promotion of events through personal networks and approved social media channels.
- Adhere to all venue policies, health and safety regulations, and performance guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 30 months of professional DJ experience in live event settings.
- Exceptional mixing, scratching, and beat-matching abilities across multiple genres.
- Proficiency with industry-standard DJ software (e.g., Serato DJ, rekordbox, Traktor) and hardware (CDJs, controllers).
- Extensive knowledge of music theory, track selection, and audience engagement techniques.
- Strong technical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting sound systems and DJ equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different crowd dynamics and event requirements.
