Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive travel consultations and advice to clients on various destinations, travel products, and services.
  • Book flights, hotels, car rentals, package holidays, travel insurance, and other ancillary services using GDS (Global Distribution System) and other booking platforms.
  • Process bookings, cancellations, and modifications efficiently and accurately, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve customer issues, complaints, and travel disruptions promptly and professionally, offering alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline rules and regulations, visa requirements, travel advisories, and industry trends.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets and contribute to the overall profitability of the branch.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as reporting, documentation, and maintaining client records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant travel industry regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
  • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in booking and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good geographical knowledge and understanding of international travel logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training (e.g., Touristikassistent/in, Reiseverkehrskaufmann/-frau) or a degree in Tourism/Hospitality.
  • Prior experience working in a travel agency, airline, or a similar customer-facing role within the travel industry.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Dutch) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and travel agency management systems.
