As our HR Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of daily HR processes, from administrative tasks to assisting with recruitment and employee engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining accurate employee records and files.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and other correspondence.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and team-building events.
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and HR data.
  • Assist with HR data entry, report generation, and ensuring data integrity within HR systems.
  • Contribute to various HR projects and initiatives as assigned, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role (volunteer experience considered)
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software is an asset, but not required
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and best practices
