Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Hospitality to lead all facets of our guest services, accommodation, food and beverage operations, and events at Bindura Country Club. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on operational management to elevate our guest experience and enhance our club’s reputation. The Director of Hospitality will be responsible for setting high service standards, optimizing operational efficiency, driving revenue growth, and ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction. You will inspire and develop a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence, warmth, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day hospitality operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and banqueting.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability across all hospitality departments.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs to meet financial targets.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service, maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and operational standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate hospitality staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor guest feedback and actively resolve any issues to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure seamless club operations and cross-departmental synergy.
- Identify market trends and implement innovative strategies to attract new members and guests, and retain existing ones.
- Lead the planning and execution of club events, conferences, and private functions, ensuring impeccable service and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all facilities are meticulously maintained, presenting a welcoming and premium environment for all visitors.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality management, preferably in a hotel, resort, or country club setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations, budgets, and diverse teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and revenue generation.
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding guest service and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a country club environment with golf and events facilities.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and cultural nuances in Zimbabwe.
- Certifications in hospitality management or food safety.
