Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and reagents according to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests under supervision, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as pH meters, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers.
  • Record and organize experimental data meticulously in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Assist with data analysis and report generation as directed by senior staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, including tracking supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Conduct quality control checks on reagents and experimental results.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on experimental design and results.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel.

Required Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mathematical and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (academic projects or internships are valued).
