Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents according to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests under supervision, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as pH meters, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers.
- Record and organize experimental data meticulously in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist with data analysis and report generation as directed by senior staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including tracking supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks on reagents and experimental results.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on experimental design and results.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
