Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Billy’s Bay, Treasure Beach. This professional role is critical to ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to final delivery, playing a pivotal part in optimizing our supply chain operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our operations, managing the intricate dance of inventory, warehousing, and transportation. You’ll be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the supply chain, from receiving incoming shipments and managing warehouse stock to planning delivery routes and ensuring timely dispatch. This position demands a proactive individual who can anticipate challenges, implement effective solutions, and continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

You will work closely with various internal departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure that all logistical needs are met and communicated effectively. Your ability to build strong relationships with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, will be essential in maintaining a robust and reliable delivery network. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods, ensuring efficient and timely delivery from warehouse to customers.
  • Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatching of products.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to enhance efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory, shipments, and delivery activities.
  • Process shipping documentation, customs forms, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and report on performance.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse and during transit.
  • Assist in the negotiation of freight rates and service agreements with carriers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain roles.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and supply chain best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
  • Experience working with international shipping and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with the local geographical area and transportation infrastructure in Jamaica.
