Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences? Thabana ea Litsweu Lodge is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Hotel Staff to join our vibrant team in Ha Foso, Maseru. As Hotel Staff, you will be a crucial part of our operations, supporting various departments to ensure the smooth running of the lodge and the utmost satisfaction of our guests. Your day-to-day could involve anything from welcoming guests with a warm smile at the front desk, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, and handling inquiries, to ensuring our rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable as part of the housekeeping team. You might also lend a hand in our dining areas, setting up for meals, serving guests, or assisting in the kitchen. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are key, as you will be expected to adapt to different roles and needs within the lodge. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures as needed, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to the highest lodge standards.
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including setting tables, taking orders, serving meals, and clearing dishes.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests, providing helpful information and resolving issues effectively.
  • Support laundry operations, ensuring linens, towels, and uniforms are clean, pressed, and readily available.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks or promptly report any facility issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across different departments to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Sesotho.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items as required in a hospitality environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, lodge, guesthouse, or similar hospitality setting (6 months or more).
  • Knowledge of basic hygiene, safety, and security standards within the hospitality industry.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
