Job Description
Are you eager to kickstart your career in the construction and maintenance industry? Do you have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn a valuable trade? Kae Funk Zanzibar is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Construction Painter Helper to join our dedicated maintenance team. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in painting and surface preparation within a dynamic and supportive resort environment.
As a Construction Painter Helper, you will work closely with our experienced painters, assisting them with a variety of tasks essential to maintaining the beautiful appearance of our resort. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and patching to ensure they are smooth and ready for paint application. You will learn to properly mix and stir paints, primers, and other finishing materials, ensuring the correct consistency and color. A critical part of your role will be protecting surrounding areas—furniture, fixtures, and landscaping—from paint splatters using drop cloths and masking tape, demonstrating your precision and care.
Beyond surface preparation, you’ll assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers, always adhering to strict safety protocols. You’ll be instrumental in keeping our workspace organized and tidy, including cleaning and maintaining all painting tools and equipment after use. This role is physically active and will involve carrying materials and supplies to various work sites across the resort.
This position is perfect for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves, contribute to a team, and learn from skilled professionals. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and approaches every task with a positive attitude. While no prior painting experience is required, a genuine interest in learning about painting techniques, materials, and safety standards is crucial. Your contribution will directly impact the guest experience, ensuring our resort remains visually appealing and well-maintained. We are committed to providing comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing you to develop a solid foundation in the painting trade and potentially grow into more specialized roles within our organization.
