This is an exciting opportunity to become a crucial part of our operations, ensuring our shelves are always well-stocked, organized, and ready to serve our valued customers.
As a Retail Stocker at Shoprite, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational efficiency and visual appeal of our store. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the meticulous management of inventory, from the moment products arrive at our receiving dock to when they are neatly displayed on the sales floor. You will be instrumental in unpacking shipments, verifying product counts against invoices, and accurately storing items in our backroom and warehouse facilities. Precision and attention to detail are key, as you will be responsible for rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste, adhering strictly to ‘first-in, first-out’ principles.
Beyond the logistical aspects, this role requires a proactive approach to shelf replenishment. You will consistently monitor sales floor levels, swiftly moving products from storage to shelves to prevent out-of-stock situations and ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment is also paramount. This includes cleaning shelves, sweeping aisles, and promptly addressing any spills or hazards. While the role is primarily focused on stock management, you will also be part of a larger team, occasionally assisting customers with inquiries or directing them to specific products, embodying Shoprite’s commitment to excellent customer service.
This position demands physical stamina, as it involves lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving heavy merchandise. However, it also offers a rewarding environment where your efforts directly contribute to the store’s success and customer satisfaction. You’ll gain valuable experience in retail operations, inventory management, and teamwork within a supportive and fast-paced setting. If you’re ready to embrace a challenge, grow your skills, and be a part of a company that values its employees and community, we encourage you to apply and become a vital link in delivering quality products to our customers in Mokema, Teyateyaneng.
