Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Workplace Relations Advisor to join our dynamic team in Pforzheim. This pivotal role involves providing expert guidance and support on all aspects of employee relations, ensuring a fair, compliant, and productive work environment. As a Workplace Relations Advisor, you will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships between management and employees, navigating complex workplace issues, and upholding the highest standards of employment law and company policy. You will be a trusted advisor, proactive problem-solver, and an advocate for best practices in human resources.

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of strategic policy development, active conflict resolution, and educational initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on workplace relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Interpret and apply relevant labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies to ensure compliance and fair treatment.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to reflect current legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, harassment claims, and other sensitive issues, ensuring impartiality and confidentiality.
  • Facilitate mediation and negotiation processes to resolve disputes effectively and amicably.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on complex employment law cases and represent the company in labor court proceedings if necessary.
  • Deliver training sessions to managers and staff on workplace relations topics, compliance, and ethical conduct.
  • Monitor trends in workplace relations and recommend proactive strategies to enhance employee engagement and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all employee relations cases and actions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Workplace Relations Advisor or in a similar HR role with a focus on employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of German labor law (Arbeitsrecht) and industrial relations practices.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in mediation, conflict resolution, or HR management (e.g., CIPD, SHRM).
  • Experience working in a multinational company or with international employment law.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and case management systems.
  • Ability to speak additional languages.
