Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and mealtimes, always maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Support the implementation of individualised care plans, observing and reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being.
  • Engage residents in meaningful social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to promote mental stimulation and overall quality of life.
  • Act as a positive role model and provide peer support to new or less experienced team members, demonstrating best practices in care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Accurately complete and maintain resident care records and documentation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and meticulously record details, following all necessary protocols (upon completion of relevant training).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Care Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon employment).
  • Previous experience (paid or voluntary) in a care setting, even if informal.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Basic First Aid certification.
