Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare reagents, media, and other solutions with precision and accuracy.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis, including weighing, measuring, and aliquoting.
- Conduct quality control checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Inventory and order laboratory supplies and consumables to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and discussing experimental outcomes.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and assist in identifying and resolving experimental issues.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of basic laboratory principles and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in performing tasks and recording data.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions meticulously.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
