Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Logistics Coordinator to take charge of our warehouse and delivery operations in Ginger Hill, Savanna-la-Mar. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers across the region. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin connecting our inventory, warehousing, transportation, and customer service departments. Your expertise will directly influence our ability to meet delivery deadlines, maintain accurate stock levels, and uphold our commitment to operational excellence.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of all logistics activities. This includes meticulous planning of daily delivery schedules, optimizing routes for maximum efficiency and fuel economy, and effectively communicating with our team of drivers. Beyond transportation, your role will extend to overseeing warehouse functions, ensuring proper inventory management, accurate stock rotation, and maintaining a safe and organized storage environment. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules for maximum efficiency, considering factors such as distance, traffic, and delivery windows.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, picking, packing, and loading processes while adhering to safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers regarding delivery status, issues, and resolutions.
- Utilize logistics software (WMS, TMS) for tracking, reporting, and data analysis to improve operational performance.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, customs declarations, and permits.
- Identify and resolve logistical problems, such as delays, damages, and discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor carrier performance and compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proven experience with inventory management and control systems.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and supply chain best practices.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
