Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated Clerk of Court to join our esteemed team in Mitte, Kassel. This critical full-time role serves as the backbone of court operations, ensuring the seamless and accurate flow of legal proceedings. As a Clerk of Court, you will play an indispensable part in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the judicial system, working closely with judges, legal professionals, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate court records, documents, and case files, both physical and electronic.
  • Prepare and process legal documents, including summonses, subpoenas, warrants, and judgments.
  • Schedule court hearings, trials, and meetings, ensuring proper notification to all parties involved.
  • Assist in courtroom proceedings, including calling cases, swearing in witnesses, and managing exhibits.
  • Provide administrative support to judges and other judicial officers.
  • Interact professionally with attorneys, litigants, government agencies, and the general public, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Process and track court fees, fines, and other financial transactions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to court rules, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Prepare and disseminate court orders, opinions, and other official correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a legal or administrative support role, preferably within a court system.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct.
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and the judicial process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or certification in legal studies, paralegal studies, or public administration.
