As an A&R Representative, you’ll be an integral part of our creative engine, scouting new artists from live performances, digital platforms, and industry networks. Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout, identify, and sign new artists, bands, and producers with significant commercial and artistic potential.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other key industry contacts.
- Provide creative guidance and feedback to artists throughout the recording and production process.
- Negotiate and manage artist contracts, ensuring terms are beneficial for both the artist and the label.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging musical genres to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with internal marketing, legal, and production teams to plan and execute successful artist development and release campaigns.
- Attend live shows, showcases, and industry events to discover new talent and network.
- Manage A&R budgets, ensuring cost-effective artist development and recording projects.
- Identify and secure opportunities for co-writing, collaborations, and sync placements.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in talent scouting and artist development within the music industry.
- Exceptional ear for music and a deep understanding of current and emerging musical trends.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.
