Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and equipment.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and dispatch efficiency.
- Operate and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper documentation and handling procedures are followed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales, transport) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
