Job Description
As a Return to Work Coordinator at Career.zycto, you will play a pivotal role in our unwavering commitment to employee well-being and organizational health. This crucial full-time position in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia, involves expertly managing the intricate process for employees transitioning back to work after illness, injury, or other significant leaves of absence. You will serve as the central point of contact, providing compassionate support and strategic guidance to employees, line managers, and external medical and rehabilitation professionals.
Your daily mission will be to develop, implement, and meticulously monitor individualized return-to-work plans that are meticulously tailored to each employee’s unique needs and capabilities. This ensures a smooth, safe, and sustainable transition back into the workplace, minimizing risks and maximizing successful reintegration. This multifaceted role includes conducting thorough assessments of employee capabilities and job demands, identifying and coordinating suitable workplace accommodations, and fostering seamless communication between all involved parties to ensure clarity, consensus, and collaborative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized return-to-work plans for employees after illness or injury.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, medical professionals, and insurance providers regarding return-to-work cases.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate an employee's functional abilities and workplace demands.
- Identify and coordinate suitable workplace accommodations in line with medical recommendations and company policy.
- Ensure strict compliance with German labor laws, data protection regulations (GDPR), and occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation for all return-to-work cases.
- Provide empathetic support and guidance to employees throughout their rehabilitation and reintegration process.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between all stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach.
- Monitor progress of return-to-work plans, making adjustments as necessary.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of company policies and procedures related to employee well-being and return-to-work programs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in case management or return-to-work coordination (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of German labor law, specifically regarding sick leave, disability, and reintegration (BEM).
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of empathy, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certification in Disability Management or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience with HRIS systems and occupational health software.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
